Recount Writing- Cross Country at Tautoro School.

Cross country at Tautoro

On Wednesday morning all the kids and teachers from Tautoro School went to the Padlie farm for cross country racing.

When it was my turn I raced with the 6 year olds.

“Ready set go!” said Whaea Rosina.

I raced off like a speeding race car.

When I went up the hill  then it was slippery. I had heaps of mud down the back of my legs. My lungs felt like they were going to explode. When I went in the water I went splish splash. The water splashed all over my clothes. It was awesome. My heart was racing as fast as a race car. My legs were sore. My legs felt like jelly but I kept on going.  I heard all the parents and the teachers shout, “Go Whetu.” I was very tired.

Then I crossed the finish line and I came 4th. I was really tired but I had a good race. I felt very proud of myself.

Recount Writing-In the camper van.

On Monday morning me and my family went to a station

in Auckland to get a camper van for 7 days. When we got in the camper van I said, “This is beautiful.”

First we went to the parking place to sleep. I slept up on the top bunk.

In the morning we went to a place that has little cars to ride on. Before we went to the little cars we had to get a helmet and practice. Next we went down and I went down by myself. It was so cool and so much fun. I loved it.

After that we carried on travelling. We went on a little digger.  Then we went to our camping place and had dinner. In the morning I smelt a horrible smell. I said to  Mum, “Pooh what an awful smell.”

We went for a walk to see the ducks and wild swans. The wild swans were black.

After our walk we went back in the camper van to have breakfast.

After our breakfast we drove to a mountain at Rotorua.

Later on in the afternoon we watched Alvin and the Chipmunks. The movie was awesome.

That was the end of our day first day.

At night we went to the station to have dinner. Then we went to the place next to it to some games.

We got 159 tickets.

On our next day we went to another game place. It had a machine that you put money in and it gives  you some. money for all the games. There were 245 tickets. I bought 2 prizes and my sister got 1 prize. Then we had 5 more tickets. That was the day 3.

The next day we went to Huka Falls. It was loud as a pack of animals making a loud noise. Someone jumped over and he made it. Then we went to my great grandpa’s house. My nan’s name was Mrs Universe. The other cool thing was they had a wedding there. It was cool.

Then we kept driving. It was very bumpy and we stopped on the side of the road to have lunch. I had a sandwich and a yoghurt. It was yummy. We kept on driving.

We went to the snow.The mountain was big, big, big. When we got to the big mountain we went to the elevator. It took us down to the lower part of the mountain where all the learners go. Then we went to put our boots on so we don't fall on the ground. Next we went on the skis. It was fun. I spun around and skied on the fast track. I didn't get hurt and I didn't cry too. I went up on this machine. It carried me and my skis up and it went on it for heaps.

I built a snowman.

I had a fantastic holiday.
